SHED is composed of a team of highly skilled, friendly, and professionally trained stylists, lead by salon owner Lisa Harvie Hellam. At SHED, professional development is encouraged, and everyone regularly receives ongoing taining from industry leaders. Lisa Harvie Hellam
Lisa is a highly acclaimed stylist and owner of SHED. As a California native, Lisa has cut hair professionally for over 20 years. Lisa received early instruction in New York City from renowned hair stylist Dallas Amos and learned the Vidal Sassoon technique. From there she went on to study at Bumble and Bumble, where she mastered in razor cutting and styling. She seized the opportunity to assist at Italian Vogue Magazine photo shoots performing creative styling on set.
After returning to California, Lisa went back to professional development studying at Vidal Sasson in Santa Monica. She also continued to refine her skills learning hair coloring techniques from Wella, Original Mineral, and Goldwell. Lisa furthered her education once again at the Eva Srivo Academy taking classes in the Art of Balayage. Lisa continues her creative training to this day, always refining, and refreshing her technique from the best and brightest in the field. Lisa established SHED in 2006. Her passion for design, desire to work with her hands, and entrepreneurial drive has kept Lisa engaged with her business. She is always looking to the future, seeking inspiration, and continuing to craft a better experience for her clients.

Edwin Alfredo Ramirez
Edwin is an experienced stylist, having cut hair professionally for over 12 years. Edwin is known for his welcoming personality. He loves working with clients to evolve their look and believes in the transformative effect of hair. A new cut can bring someone’s whole look together and provide a sense of empowerment. Edwin is fueled by fashion's ever-changing looks, hairstyle trends, and new techniques, keeping him happily behind the chair.

Kelly Tartaglino
Kelly has been in the haircutting industry for over 17 years and continues to refine her work through training. Her initial inspiration is derived from the classic yet timeless styles of Vidal Sassoon and over time she has been inspired by Bumble & Bumble, Goldwell, Kevin Murphy and other industry behemoths. Although she has the ability to give haircuts and color services that reflect the trends, ultimately her passion is to listen and customize hair for her clients’ individual needs.
“Kelly Tartaglino is fantastic. Very careful, very detail-oriented, very intuitive. She’s got a fantastic sense for style but is also able to understand a client’s needs (by asking questions about what the daily routine looks like and how much time a client is willing to spend on styling). I have always had a really hard time managing my hair and have always been self-conscious about it. Recently someone told me that my hair always looks pulled together and well-styled; that’s all Kelly and her careful cuts and precise color.”
Martha Muga
Martha is an accomplished hairstylist with 10 years of experience and is passionate about her work. Martha has trained in Tony and Guy and Vidal Sassoon Haircutting. She continuously strives to be a master of her craft by attending on-going training on new techniques and trends. Martha goes above and beyond to make sure that her guests are happy and look their best. She is experienced with all hair types and styles, including curly hair and balayage. She takes time to educate her guests on products and how to maintain their look in between visits.
Tracy Singleton
Tracy has been active in the haircolor industry since 2000. She started her training at DiPietro Todd Salon, and has worked in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and South Beach Miami. She has received advanced training from L’Oreal and Wella on both coasts, and continues to be inspired by fashion and nature. Tracy was named by KPIX CBS as one of the 5 Best Hair Colorists in the Bay Area. She specializes in balayage- a hand-painted technique, creating the bright and natural, beachy highlights that evoke late summer days. Tracy strives to create low-maintenance perfection, by listening to each client carefully and producing exactly what they are looking for.

SHED was inspired by a backyard tool shed I admired as a child. Since then I have always been drawn to sheds. Here is an inspiring collection.
